well its been a really long time since i have been able to post anything because my drywall business went belly up and i have been making a career change and been really busy with that. I decided to get into truck driving so i went to trucking school for three weeks and got my cdl then i spent a week at oreintation with the company that hired me now im at home waiting on a trainer to become available hopefully this job doesnt belly up also. On with the fishing i didnt really know what to expect since i havent been in a long time so i thought i would start deep and work shallow the first spot the fish were really stacked up i caught a fish on almost every cast for about an hour. The only problem was i only caught 5 keepers most of these fish were caught 6-10 count on a pearl/chartruse stinger on a 1/16 head over 30 ft of water. So I moved shallower to about the 15ft range and stayed with the same bait and caught a few more keepers and several short fish and i started getting bored with all of the short fish and switched baits i tied on a crappie magnet black/chartruse and put a float 4ft above then i found several more keepers and not near as many short fish! It was a really good day i ended up with 81 crappie and 27 were keepers and i brought 15 home for a fish fry tomorrow! The water temp when i started was 51 and 55 when i quit. All of the little fish drove me crazy today but at least we know there is plenty coming on! emoThumbsup emoThumbsup
