So I took BBass's advice and decided to fish more. emoLaugh emoLaugh Got to the shellmound ramp around 5:30pm America's time (that is eastern time zone for all you central people, I mean Bprice) emoPoke Fished rip rap with no luck, moved to some shallow water with no luck. Again I could see fish hitting the surface and we could not get any takers. Decided to try a smaller area, went to a point near the ramp. Well Lefty got one, just barely a keeper and I caught its food, no it was a little bigger than food, maybe 10". Lefty caught his on a jerk bait about 15' from the boat. He was giving this jerk bait some serious action, the longest pause was about 2 seconds, and he never reeled it before he started jerking. Just pop,1 , pop pop, 2, pop, 1 ,pop pop 1,you know just mixing it up. Color was white with black back and red spot. three trebles on this jerk so I guess you could say it was a longer one. Several cast later I get my shorty on a xr50 royal shad. Mine came from much closer to the bank, When I got stuck several cast later I found that it was only about 2 ft where I had hooked mine. Glad to get this stinking smell off of me, still smelling the bass on my hand and I like it. So what did I learn today, Well I learned that in warmer weather it might be a good idea to move that jerk bait more. When I started throwing jerks earlier this year I heard you are supposed to whistle dixie between jerks, so when the water starts to warm up you can probably just whistle hello. Also learned that maybe if you can find a smaller isolated area similar to where you found fish in a big area you increase you chances of the lure passing in front of their face. Sorry no pictures, you have seen enough of my ugly boat to show again on a small slick. Water temp got to 58 where we were. Its good to catch fish and learn something, and they seem to go together pretty good. I know its hard to learn anything about the fish when you don't catch any. Can't wait to do it again. So BBass I am going again tomorrow if that makes you feel any better. Thanks for all the support that has made todays catch possible.

p.s.
