Jake and I hit the lake to see if the crappie were in yet. Water temperature was 56 in the morning and 59 in the afternoon. At first I trolled 1/4 ounce deep diving crankbaits in 14 to 19 feet of water. I caught a 14 inch white crappie, 2 yellow perch, and several bass. (Jake wanted his picture taken and this 17 inch bass fought real well for a little guy so we'll give him some notoriety too.) Then I switched to 1/16 ounce jig and fished the trees. I caught about 30 black crappie with a dozen keepers. Most were about 12 feet deep, though some were shallower. The other picture is the large one with 7 others over 11 inches.
