Nauticman, Upper Nickajack, Bass, Drum, 3/26/09, Solo
#1
Fished out of Riverpark for 3-4 hrs. this afternoon. My strategy was to try to catch some bass, especially SM, at every place where rain runoff went into the river. I was hoping for clouds, drizzle and current and I got sunshine and little current. My "pattern" resulted in 2 TARP drum (big deal!), one smaller drum and several good taps (strikes) that I missed. The bigger drum was 30" and 15.5#.

I fished a buoy line with a heavy spinner bait -- "nada", as DK would say. Just before I had to leave at 5pm, I fished a steep rocky bank with a tube bait and caught 3 very small SM and one small spot.

As I was taking out, JDK was launching his boat. It was nice meeting him and having a good conversation. Wished I could have talked longer, Josh, but I was running late for a family dinner.
