tyler ware, Chick, Bass (Toad), 3-29-09, Lefty
#1
So we got to the lake around 2:45pm, and there was no one in the parking lot at Tyner rd. usually not a good sign. Not today! Headed down river past Booker T to try a few new spots. Well by the time we got fishing, my boat was pushed on to the shore the wind was so bad, so we headed to the other side of the lake where it was much calmer. Lefty hooks up with a 14.5" on about the third cast with a jig, and some ugly plastic on it. Then I land my PB, just over 4lbs, about 19" on a super secret rattle trap. So that was it for that spot. Moved to another bank that was similar to this one, and Lefty yells get the NET. I am watching the rod and line saying, you got a cat. Well no cat here, it was the biggest bass ever to enter my boat. just at 20.5" and on the Deliars weighed in over 6lbs. Then he lands a drum also. These also came on a trap, super secret color. Could not get any more fish until just before we left the lake, Lefty lands a 16" 3lbrs, so fat i could not believe it. Looked like a pan fish it was so fat. So we had three keepers weighing in at around 13-14lbs, not a bad day for two rookies. Good times. All fish caught on the super secret trap. three different makes, but same color. The photo of the 6+ does not do it any justice, it was a monster.
