Well, Jacob (my 14 yr. old grandson) came in from Ohio to crappie fish all week, Monday and Tuesday we couldn't fish due to bad weather but fished Wed and did OK for conditions. However today we were fortunate enough to have the DrumKing along and did he "do his thang". DK showed his stuff for my grandson and made his day. This was a trip he'll not soon forget. After running around for a while searching for some concentrations of fish DK found the pattern and we did good, real good. I think we only had maybe 4 non-keepers and finished the day with 30 very nice keepers, most over 12 inches and many 13 inches in length. The fish were in about 2 to 5 ft of water for the most part but the bite was very subtle and DK nailed them. Jacob and I caught a few but DK probably caught 20+ of the 30 keepers. We also caught several blue gill too. We used 1/32 oz. panfish assassins for the most part but did get a few on BG Shad.Again, THANKS DK for such a fine day, it's always great to be on the water but especially great when I can have my grandson along. However you put the icing on the cake with your attention to him and your attempt to teach him about fishing. I think he listens more than we know. He can't wait to go again on his next trip to Tennessee.
