John and I decided to hit the water this morning and try to find the fish we were on Thursday, but it was slow going for us today. Got to HBSP around 9 and headed up river and focused on points and rocky banks. I caught a 13" spot right off the bat on an XR75 and Hart followed suit with a 14" LM on a chrome Trap. We thought we were going to wear them out today....well the bite died on the Traps, so I switched to a spinnerbait and started beating the banks near deeper water. An hour later we still hadn't put another fish in the boat. Made a run down towards the Dam into some shallow sloughs targeting blowdowns and docks. I landed another 15"er on a Cutthroat jig in a fresh blowdown. Fished through a few sloughs and decided to run up to the Nuke to a large shallow flat that I like with a few docks. Fished it twice through and caught 2 more slicks, both on the jig. Then the wife called so I decided that was it for the day. Ran back to HBSP and flipped the slips for a few minutes, where Hart boated a CHUNK of a 2lb fish. Looked like a dang football! But was short as all get out.

Pulled out at 1:30 and headed back home. Only boated 6 fish today, with 3 being keepers. Another slow day for me.... I cant wait for the day to boat 25 fish and/or 25lbs.....

Water temps were 56-57 and all fish came in less than 5 fow.

Maybe next time........emoAngler
