Got all my chores done by about 3pm today and thought the fish might be biting. Called jc4thecross and he was up for a few crappie. I picked him up at Chester Frost at around 4pm and we were off into the blow. It was blustery again today and the first dock that we fished was close to Chester Frost and we didn't get a hit. Went to another dock nearby and it had some quality fish on it but it was right in the wind. We struggled for a while catching 4 or 5 nice big slabs and decided to run to WT where we could get out of the wind and I knew where we could find some of my "pet" fish. We caught a few here and a few there. Then the blow started to bother us in the creek so we went way back into the creek to see if the mud had cleared enough to get some on some docks. It was slow to begin with but all of a sudden they turned on and we caught quite a few in a short span. Most fish today were on a 6-8 count. We used 1/32 oz jigs with Panfish Assassins, Crappie stingers, and BG shads. Each one seemed the best at one time or another. We ended up with 8 keepers and about twice that many throwbacks. We finished at about 7pm and we made the chilly run back over to CF. It seemed like the temperature was quickly dropping from the time I got out there until I got back to the house. I was glad to be home in the warmth of my place. It was great to be out there with James and he is available at the spur of the moment to go fishing. That's good to know as most of my fishing is done whenever an hour or so opens up during the day. Thanks again for your great company and fellowship out there James. We will do it again, hopefully soon. I'll post a pic tomorrow as the camera is still in the boat.
