Just wanted to catch a fish, no better place we know. First cast, both had a bite, Gary's took line and didn't stop. Also took spoon. Braid....., it was big! Nice start to the morning. For the first 3 hours we very seldom made a cast we didn't get a bite from something. We caught a 9 lb hybrid, a 13 8 Rockfish and the biggest drum of the day was 14 even. We guessed we caught at least 20 drum over 10 lbs. We had 11 nice big white bass also. Other fish of the day were a cat, some gizzard shad, a buffalo, and some yellow bass, oh.... and a LM. We hooked up and lost as many as we got in. Dang it was a fun morning. Talked to Gary this evening and he was doubling up on the Advil for the body aches from the catching. We ran into djboggle and a friend and it was good to see him again and shoot the bull a while. I don't have a clue what the water temp was. We caught most on big hair jigs but also caught them on spoons and swimbaits on the current seams. Thanks Gary for an excellent day.
