Decieded to hit the Chick today for the 1st time this year. Plan was to go for bass for the 1st couple hours then run to nuke plant to try for some cats. I know very little about the cats so got some advice from Eric M. on what to start with. The day started out good catching a keeper bass on the 3rd cast and catching one about every 10 mins. or so. Caught most bass on cranks and cutthroat spinnerbaits. in 4-8 ft. About 11 rigged up for the cats and moved to the nuke plant. Not much to report after that. drifted around for 1 1/2 hrs. without a bite and give up! Tried one more spot on way in for bass and caught 3 small fish then called it a day. Total for day was 8 keeper bass nothing over 2 1/2 lbs. 6 shorts and 0 catfish. Oh and it was cooold out there today!!!
