Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 4/17/2009, My son Dewayne
#1
Well, what a difference a day makes, yesterday was only 12 crappie with 6 keepers but today is a better story. <br /> Dewayne and I put in at WT about 9am and fished until 7pm but did not fish in WT creek at all. He wanted 2 limits for him to take home and we fell short only 1 fish. We caught between 90 and 100 crappie today with 29 keepers. We fished mostly docks at least 10 ft deep and the fish were from about a 5 to 8 count. We used the ole panfish assassins, BG Shad, and stingers with 1/32 oz heads. We had doubles today 5 different times. It's now almost 10pm and we ate fresh caught crappie for dinner and it was sooooooooooo good. Also, to make things interesting one fish I caught was a SLAB and had an eel attached that fell into the boat and hid under the drivers seat, Dewayne finally got the thing out and it was released alive. We also caught a yellow perch, golden shiner, several blue gills. We really had a blast today. What a fantastic day to be on the water. emoUSA emoDance
