Pointer 78, Nickajack, Bass, 4-18-09, Voliam
#1
Got out today for a few hours to do some prefishing for next week's tournament on Nickajack. It gave my brother a chance to try out his boat for the first time. We fished shallow with lipless crankbaits and Texas rigged lizards. I caught a 4, 3, and a 2 lber, all on a Red Eyed shad. Nothing but smaller fish on a lizard. Did catch a few keeper spots (12-13 inches) but they're not gonna help next week. Ole Dropshot has agreed to partner up with me. Perhaps we can weigh in a limit between the both of us. Out heaviest catch was the turtle that Voliam caught. Water temps were 58 degrees at daybreak and 62 around noon. All of out fish were caught in 4 feet or less.
