Bassin' Machine, Chickauga, Bass, 4/21/09, Gale Force Winds
#1
Unbelievable day on the water. Decided to head to the lake around noon today with a buddy. He doesn't bass fish much and we were pretty much just goin out to hit a few high percentage areas for a few hours with the gale force winds and all but things dedided to run in our favor today, and a few hours turned into a full day. Fished until about 8:00 pm. Caught about 20 to 22 fish all in shallow water and near the backs of sloughs and creeks. Caught 3 solid keepers with one that was a hawg. Didn't have the scales but it was the biggest bass I have ever caught. Probably about 8 to 9 lbs. The other 2 fish were close to 3 lb. We went into about 8 different sloughs from Sequoyah to Possum creek. All fish were caught on rattletraps and soft plastics. Awesome day and I'm pretty sure the wind helped us a lot today. I think my buddy might be hooked on some bass fishin' after a day like today. It was one of those days where it was hard to quit fishin and take it in. Here are a few pics. Sorry bout the color effect on the hawg....i was so excited i didn't have time to change it.

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv49/MachineMan55/monstersepia.jpg

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv49/MachineMan55/bigolboy.jpg

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv49/MachineMan55/goodlilchunkster.jpg

http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv49/MachineMan55/nothergoodchunkster.jpg
