My wife had a business meeting out of town this week at Amicalola Falls state Park ,which is about 45 min from Carters lake in North Georgia so I thought I would take the boat and get in a fishing trip. Fished for about 8 hours with only three fish........nothing like guntersville might I say.......All three were spots and weighed 3lbs, 2.8lbs, and 1.11. I would say the weather played a big factor, a cold front in may my luck, not to mention winds from the east. The lake itself is beautiful, and is very very deep. My boat was setting in water that was 20' to 60' deep within casting distance of the bank.
