Lake Ray Roberts Guide Report
#1
Trips to Ray Roberts have been good as of late. Half-day trips are giving up 10 to 15 Blacks up to 5+lbs. Top waters early and then soft plastics. Pop-R’s and Jerk Shads are what I am using early, in some kind of shad color. Bummer worms and lil-shads from bigbagbaits.com in some form of green with a little dip of chartreuse are my mid day baits. I am fishing in and around the pad fields and grass with deep-water access.

All the rain and storms have knocked off the Sandies and they are hard to find and catch. If you do find them, go to something small. They are chasing very small bait, and will respond to movement rather than large slabs. Clear Tiny Torpedo or a Tail Hummer will get you some fish on the line. Talked to several Crappie fishermen this week and they were catching fish on the core brush piles but they were ALL small.

Till next time

Good Fishing and

GOD BLESS
