As for the fishing trip to Nick today, well we could'a done about as well at home. It was a nice day
and the chiggers and destroyers weren't as bad as Chick but we only caught 8 crappie with only one
a real good keeper.emoSmile We fished from 7:30 'till 12:00 noon.
It will take some scouting to find the right places to fish there. We went north of the Guild Boat dock
and only found 1` crappie in the marina because the water was only 8 feet deep. I told Martie when
we pulled up there that it was probably a waste of time but we did catch 1 in about 20 minutes.
Tried some bluffs but all we could find were 'gills and no big ones at that. Finally found some barges
parked in 15-20 fow and caught 7 around them. That was about it except for one nice spot about 14
inches and two small ones, one about 10 inches and one about 6 inches, the BG shad was almost as
big as he was. :o
Martie is tryin' to learn the dock shooting technique and while practicing she did hook 1 nice crappie today. She is going to practice in the driveway this week and next time she says she'll be better and give me a run for my money, Wink
Weather at the Nick was mostly cloudy, (80%) with an air temp of about 72* - Water temp was 70*
We caught all fish on BG Shad, blue speckled with char tails and the count was an 8, emoSmile
It was nice to have Martie out fishing with me today, it was the first time she had been in the new boat and she and Jake, (our Sheltie), enjoyed the day out, emoThumbsup
No pictures, my camera crashed and I need to find another one, emoRolleyes
