Got out on the water about 5:45 this morning with high hopes and a full tank of gas. <br /><br />The first spot we got nothing. No bites even. <br /><br />We moved to the second spot and pulled in a new record for my boat. That was fun, my dad hooked it and thought he was hung on the bottom, but when I went over there go get him unstuck, I realized there was a fish on the rod and reeled it in for him. I have a nice picture of that which I will post up here later. We pulled two more off of that same area within 30 minutes and then they turned off. All of these were caught in about 12 feet of water with C-rigs and shaky heads.<br /><br />We tried fishing a rocky bank and got nothing, and then moved some flats about 9 feet deep and found a couple of fish, but they both came unbuttoned. <br /><br />We moved up into the islands until we got tired of dragging in grass and then moved to a roadbed. We had no luck at either of these places so we headed in.<br /><br />We tried one other point on the way home. No luck there either. <br /><br />We loaded the boat at 11:30 with a total of three bass. The first on was by far the best and made the whole trip worthwhile.
