Okay after a poor day on the river I decided to organize my tackle the rest of the afternoon. Sam and Jack then talked me into to fishing the lake. emoCool Of course when your kids say I want to go fishing it is hard to turn them down. So about 6:45pm we are at the boat ramp. Is it just me that gets stuck waiting on people that have no idea about what they are doing at the ramp or have a complete lack of courtesy, ie they sit there on the ramp doing who knows what for 15 mintues!!! emoAngry emoAngry So we finally get in the water around 7:10 and start fishing a flat on the main lake near the damn. No takers on that one. Only about 10-19 feet. So we pull the trolling motor to look for the fish -- emoFish Where are they? emoScratch Well I guess we found them. Main lake 20 to 35 feet of water. Fishing with 10 inch worms we starting catching fish and nice ones too! emoSmile The first fish was about 3 pounds. The next five were between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2. My youngest boy could not catch one and then bam! Fish on! Turns out he got the big one. 4.8 lbs emoToast So our best five between 15 and 16 pounds! emoSmile Dad got smoked again! emoConfused But who ran the trolling motor, kept everyone on the spot and rigged up the worms and untangled the lines! The Old Man! emoGeezer Great 2 hours on the lake. Lots of fun. Good Bite. Tight lines guys!
