[cool]Sorry for the late post but just able to download pics. Met up with my calif. fishing buddies for a week in the eastern sierras above Bishop before memorial day. We tubed South lake,Sabrina lake,North lake,Intake II,Convict lake, and Crowley lake. All the trout were small planted rainbows. My buddy got two nice ones though at 2.5lb and 4lb. My largest was 1.5lb. Each day was double digit fish counts for us all. We even caught a nice batch of sacramento perch(they look like crappie) from Crowley. Almost all fish were caught on flyrods. I even tied up a bunch of flies a couple nights between beers. Great weather and scenery. It was a nice break from the desert. I haven't been back there for about 4 years. Enjoy the pics.

Awesome pictures! Thanks for packing a camera so you could share with us. What a great campsite you all had next to a stream. Good times! Great to get out of town and enjoy high mountains and cool temps. I'll be headed to San Francisco Bay for saltwater stripers and halibut next week. Can't wait!

Those pictures are absolutely stunning of the mountains. What a great place to get away. Good fishing, good company I assume, not much better. Nice post.

[cool]Thanks BaySport. It was a nice change of altitude and atitude. I would like to do it more often; maybe in october. Good luck on the bay fishing trip. I was on the american river last june for the end of the shad run and got the skunk.

[cool]Nah. Just paddled around it in the tube. The water was cold but it took about an hour before your feet went numb. It was nice to take a break after that.....with a cold beer!!
