Got out today with my best fishing partner for some serious bass fishing. Our first time out bassing this summer. We started out above the nukes intake area this morning and picked up five bass. We then moved down river and fished some rocky banks and picked up six more bass. At this point all of the bass except one were fighters but not keepers except the spots. We decided to move up to the bluff across from the nukes and ran into Drumking and Hal working on the crappie. After a brief visit someone turn on the dinner bell. We started catching and missing bass like crazy. Between 12 and 1:30 we boated another 18 bass to finish the day with a total of 30 Bass in the boat. All the bass today were on rocks and all the keepers were on worms. We had to leave for an appointment with the misses or we could have caught more. The action was so fast I only made two Pictures and one of those ran as a movie clip. The afternoon bass were fat and mean. My partner caught the one in the pic. It was a great day with cloud cover, 78 degree-80degree water. Most of the fish were in 7-10 feet of water with the boat in 20 plus. Not bad for 5 hours of fishing by two very rusty fishermen.
