I had never fished at night before on any lake so the whole game plan was up to Andrew, he said we'd be fishing deep for the most part on a secret hole of his...started off near the blast off on a few docks and I alternated between a spook and a 10 in junebug worm c rigged and andrew was using a spinnerbait and a jig he'd flip when we got up close to the docks, we caught one small fish on the c rig, and Andrew caught our first keeper on near the last dock on the stretch, I think it was 2.2 and then we moved to a slough and caught zero, though i missed several blow ups on the spook, only one of which we could have kept though I feel like. We spent about an hour working the crap out of that slough and then moved on to Andrews secret spot on a channel ledge were the water drops from 17 to 30 ish feet, I started with my c rig and andrew a deep crankbait of some type and I started catching fish almost immediately, 3 in about the first 5 casts, all short though. We stayed there for the rest of the night, both of us throwing mostly almost identical c rigs and mixing in a crankbait spinnerbait and a couple of chatterbaits, but most fish, if not all but one were caught on the c rigs, with the exception of one short fish on a chatterbait, but I lost a keeper on a chatterbait as well. Andrew caught our big fish a 4.4 pounder and I caught a 2# 12 oz. fish and one more small keeper and that was the only 3 (+ the 2.2 from earlier) out of maybe 15 that we could keep. Andrew caught a freaking rod and reel with the plastic worm still attached, he can clean that sucker and use it, very recently lost. Fishing at night was very interesting, I enjoyed catching fish in the dark.
