I took my son and his friend out for a morning on the lake. No problem getting up early since they just graduated UTK and received their commission in the Army. emoUSA emoUSA Put in at the ramp at the dam. Thought we might try for some bass along the rip rap but no takers. I wondered who wrote the weather report - the wind was supposed to be calm but it was a blowin!! emoEek Tried on some humps and a few bumps but really hard to hold in the wind emoBooHoo Let the wind blow us down the main lake along the shoreline next to the river channel throwing raps and spinners to see if fish were holding against the bank, docks, blowdowns or bank. Are you kidding me - nothing and the wind and waves just a beating our :emoticon: Well you get the picture. Hey we want these boys to catch some fish emoFish Hmmmm emoIdea I have an idea - let's hit some deep docks inside coves and fish for bluegill and crappie. Not many bluegill but hit the mother lode on crappie. Many small ones - 25-35 and only about seven keepers. Sorry - no pics - I left the camera in the car and we decided to release them after all that work. Salvaged the day and even caught one bass on a crappie jig! emoToast Well hope everyone else had better luck - A lot of boat traffic. Tight lines!
