Got on the water at 7 this morning hoping to find an early top water bite. It was there, at least for an hour or so. Torpedoes and sammys were the ticket us today. Hits were brutal! When the sun got up above the trees the bite died and I decided to try Jmax's drop shot pattern. Fished ledges and drop offs, with a 6" pumpkin and chart worm. Did really well. Caught fish in water as shallow as 3 feet today, and as deep as 20. Wind began to kick up around 10 so we headed in. 46 bass in the boat today, with about 20 or so of those being keepers. We caught a lot of good healthy fish this morning. Best fish would have went 3.5lbs or so. Also caught a bonus smallie that was a football. No pics because honestly when I am catching fish it's the last thing I think about! Great day to be on the water.
