Took another trip with a good friend of mine from work to the park to try our luck again after the great day we had Wed. with the boys. I had explained to him how it goes with the cast net, the wide variety of peoples there, and fammed mad dash up the stairs, to the car, to the bottom, down the rocks, before the bait dies and he just couldn't fathom how to catch the fish or even what a cast net was. Well in two tosses and a cooler full, he was like, what are they doing there? LOL!!!! Anyway it was a very informative trip to get the bait!! Well the bragging from our trip and the night before the trip must have cursed our adventure!!! emoBang The water was off when we got there but we managed nice LM apiece and like with the boys a lesson in Shad Fishing 101 was required, LOL!!!! We made another bait run when they kicked on a little flow and as we headed back down it looked like a 4th of July cookout had taken over our fishing hole, LOL!!! So we tried above the RR bridge with no succes with only short and limited bites. The bait was harder to keep alive as the temp came up so we made another run for last stitch effort. We went ahead and made our way to below the bridge as the crowd dispersed and I managed a fiesty little channel and one more LM and that was it for the day. We were there from 8-12:30 but my buddy still had a blast and can't wait to go again.
