We got an early, wet start this morning by putting in at CF about 5:45 and heading out to catch a couple crappie to complete Grandson Noah's vacation fishing, emoSmile
We were determined to get in at least a couple hours even though it was raining, emoScratch We caught 2 yalla bass, 1 LM bass, and 26 crappie with about half being keeper size. Biggest today was 12 inches so no real big boys today.
Not many out but did see a few boats starting around 9:30, emoSmile There was little current so some places produced no fish but did catch fish around docks and deep structure. The count was 6 'till it got pretty light then went down to a 10-12 and later it was down to a 15 count.
Rained off 'n on all morning and we quit around 11:00 and headed back in just in time to miss the destroyers as they were getting started after sleeping off their 4th of July beer, emoSmile
Water temp was 82* and there was a lite wind makeing the water choppy and hard to keep up with the line to see the bite, emoRedface
Took some extra pictures of the local wildlife this morning while things were calm, emoSmile
