Rockport Resv. advise.
#1
taking the family up to day use area at Rockport tomorrow (7-11-09) Saturday. will be at area on south end of lake where the wakeless zone is, using my float tube and maybe a conoe. freinds are joining us as well. just wondering where I can get to to get onto some perch up there, and what the go to for trout is up there this time of year, will be able to cast and drag bait, but we have no motor so trolling is out for now, i dont think i can kick my tube fast enough, but the "W" may help me out on some drift fishing. thanks in advance for the advise, I have not fished Rockport for more than 11 years before i was married. Worm under a bobber cast out to the weeds that are next to the picnic pavilions. Water is about 6' deep there, so use a slip bobber.
for your tube, just go out to the edge of the weeds and start exploring.

Trout are going deep now, 15' or more with this warm weather.
