First off thanks to everyone for their time and effort in putting these Tx"s on. Really enjoyed seeing everyone as always. Man what a Great July morning, thought it was mid Sept. with the temps. had to find a jacket I keep in the bottom of one of the bins. With all that has been going on in my world lately fishing just wasnt at the top of the heap. Wife talked me into going late Friday night so I figured I would go and enjoy a morning on the water, thats the reason I was running solo. Really didnt have a plan so I called a friend that fishes the Nick pretty often and he gave me a couple of ideals that had been working for him lately. Didnt run far up river and stopped on a grass flat next to deep water and started throwing a Buzz bait over the grass and caught two of my keepers on the first five casts. So its 6:30 and I have two in the boat and I start to think that this is going to be a great morning. HA HA. Then nothing for the next 40 min's. Then another one decides to eat the buzz bait and he turns out to be the best one of the day. After the sun came up everything slowed down and by the boat traffic picking up I figured some were running and gunning. Everything I caught was around grass next to deeper water, 20+. I stayed withn the buzz bait all morning and could pick one up here and there, ended up catching 13 fish with the only keepers coming early. Looking forward to the nex one. emoToast
