Thought I would share a couple of big cat pics caught while bass fishing recently. The first is a decent flathead caught during the recent CBA night tourney on the 11th. The flattie hit a 8" Yamamoto grub with CB's Hawgsauce in 20ft of water using 15lb P-Line. As you can imagine, the fight was on! emoBig
The second is a big blue cat that hit my Indian Creek football jig(also with CB's) in 28ft of water on the 20th. It took several minutes to get the cat's head turned with my 15lb line! Finally the fish tired out enough to reel it in. I could not believe the line didn't break and it is a good testament to the strength of P-Line CXX! The scale on the fish 'grabber' read 44lbs. Obviously, around here they get much bigger but still a handful on bass tackle! emoEek It was kind of a let down after setting the hook on something solid only to have the drag scream off the reel and immediately realizing it was not a green fish on the other end but these 'trash' fish!...I get much more excited about a 5lb+ bass than a 50lb+ nasty catfish!(thought you cat guys might like that)emoBig
J/K they are still fun to catch. Both fish were released unharmed waiting on someone else to catch the slimy things! emoTongue
