boundary waters

going to the boundary waters in 2 weeks. im from utah and dont know the area. i know we are setting in at moose lake. Any one have information regarding what kind of fish and how to fish them?

Hey,

I'm not familiar with that specific lake, but I can give you some general advice.

You will find ALOT of big fish up there. Mostly Walleye's northern pike, both largemouth and smallmouth bass.

For walleyes leeches and nightcrawlers work good this time of year. Jumbo leeches on lime green or bright orange jigheads should work well. Also try lindy rigs.

For northern, try big flashy rapalas. Firetiger is my favorite pattern. Even spoons work decent.

You can catch bass on pretty much anything.
