Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Fishing has slowed in general. The first three days of this week were really slow. A slow moving from from the west has keep the bite off on most all fish. In the long run this will help fall fishing. The water temps are really dropping and fish are moving towards their fall patterns. Whitebass are moving towards the mouths of the bays. They are hitting Mepps and Roostertails but are scattered. The best largemouth catches have come from shallow drops close to the mouths of the bays. Small plastic are working best. Over the weekend some good crappie catches were taken in 12' to 15' os water in the bays. They also have slowed. Catfish are the best fishing at this time. They are hitting nightcrawlers in Lake Barkley along the dropoffs.

TIP: Remember when the water temps drop the fish will be on the move. What worked yesterday may not work today.

BIT AND PIECES: The smallest deed is better that the grandest intention.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
