Question Bigpikeguy

Well its been cooling down lately so you think the bigger pike will actually start comeing up from the depths to feed at yellow creek state park soon? I might be heading out there tomorrow and try alittle more fishing. What you think on pike and walleye?

Yes it has been cooling down lately and yes that will make the Pike come more shallow. However you are jumping the gun a little bit here. Air temp changes way faster than water. You will need to wait till the surface water temps turn to about 65 . Right now most lake in the area are still around 75 so you got a little while to wait. You will be able to catch some small ones now but the big ones like the cooler water, and will take a bit longer to adjust to the water temps. I'd say another 3 weeks of these cooler nights should get that water temp down. Just take a thermometer with you when you go fishing so you know what the temp is.
