drumking, chickamauga, Crappie and bass, 9/08/09, alone

Just a short 3 hour trip for me today. Started out fishing for bass with flukes and ended up fishing for just a short while for crappie. I caught 12 bass. 1 yellow bass, 5 largemouth bass (3 keepers) and 6 spotted bass. I released all the largemouth and kept 2 spots and 4 crappie for the freezer. I landed 7 crappie in about 30 minutes of semi-serious crappie fishing. It had gotten hot and I was getting ready to quit anyway. Fished from 10 til 1:00 pm. Bass are chasing shad, so the flukes work pretty good this time of year. BG shads caught the crappie. About 4 count for most, but a couple came 12 seconds deep. emoBig emoGeezer
