Gator gave me a call this morning and told me that he had an empty back seat on his boat and asked me if I wanted to fill it today. I said yes, since I hadn't scheduled anyone for today. We met at Wolftever and started back in the creek for a while since neither of us had fished it lately. Waste of time for us. We only caught a few little ones in there. One keeper. Then back to the river and fished various docks. We had a really good day. We landed 68 crappie and Gator kept close to 2 limits to take home. He caught a limit and I gave him any keepers that I landed. We threw back a bunch of 10" fish today. Gator will give us the number of keepers when he gets home and counts them.

The fish hit most every color that we tried and were shallow more than those that were deep. Added to our creel were 3 spotted bass, 1 yellow bass, and 1 bluegill. BG shads, panfish assassins, ringer stingers, and stubby butts all produced fish. We had 45 fish landed when we decided to fish one last dock and then quit for the day. Good move. We had 5 consecutive doubles and 24 fish in about 30 minutes of fishing. I told Gator when we had the same number of fish as I am old, then we will quit. He went ahead and caught one more while I was putting my stuff up. If you do the math, you will know how old I am. One year younger than Fat Albert.

I enjoyed the day, Gator. Let's do this again sometime. Labman, your day is coming soon. emoBig
