My son and I fished about 6 hours starting at about 8:30 on the lock side of the railroad bridge. We worked our way to downtown fishing ditch/river junctions, rip-rap, green buoy channel breaks, bridge piers and barge tie-ups. TVA increased the flow pretty quickly to 45K cfs. We used Gitzits, spinner baits, crankbaits and jig/pigs. The best baits were Gitzits and jig/pig.

We ended up with 4 largemouths (2 keepers up to 16 in.), 8 or 9 spots (up to 15.5 in.) , one tiny smallie and a 13.5 lb. drum. The smallie hit a DD22 that was bigger than it was. Kind of a slow day as the fish seemed to bite in a couple of flurries with lots of dead time in between. Nevertheless, we were thankful for a nice day together on the water and we didn't even get soaked.

We released all the fish except for 3 spots we kept for blackening.
