Sunday afternoon we got started around 330pm. We tried shallow grass with the devil horse. We saw a lot of feeding, but they didn't like what we were offering. We moved to another shallow cove with a long shallow flat next to 11 foot of water. The first cast with the devil horse produced a 21/2 pound bass that hit right as i was taking the lure out of the water. scared the stew out of me. We stayed on the bass for about two hours chasing active bass. Most of the bites either came as the bait hit the water or when the bait was sitting still. We had to be careful not to move the bait to much. They just wanted a tinny flicker then dead stick for 10 seconds or more. We ended up with more than 20 bass with most of them keepers. We noticed that the water that we started in was clear on top and murky on bottom. the area that we caught the fish is was cleaner water.
