Great to get out. Put in at Chester Frost about 6:30 and fished till 8:30. We caught all of our fish in about 4 foot of water. We managed to land eight. All but two were caught on rattle traps at a pretty high retrieve just over the grass. I don't think color mattered much. Three caught on chrome and three caught on green blue color. The other two were caught on a finesse (texas rigged) and a cleo (spoon). I did throw a floating rapala next to some grass patches and got hammered- line started striping off and it came unbuttoned- I didn't have the drag set.

Had to cut the trip a little short and leave the shallows. Trolling Batteries bit the dust. Found the problem this evening. Had switched a battery a couple of weeks ago and had put a negative wire on the positive post. The on board charger red and green leds were blinking and when I found and fixed the culprit, it is showing that it is charging now. Hope its working and find it on a full charge in the morning.

Again, great to get out on the water again!

Have a great weekend!
