It was windy this morning....a little cold....it did rain a little on us and the water was rough, but we had a good time.
I woke up this morning at 4:30 and could not go back to sleep. I was not sure if I was even going to go fishing but since I was up early I thought what the heck. I looked at the forum before leaving and saw that shark was looking for someone to go with. Called him and left him a message. Sure enough, before I even got the boat in the water he called and wanted to go. I said come on...he did. emoToast
We got started at 6:30 so it was a little dark. The fishing was slow but we had a "Big" start. Shark rared back on a good fish. Rod doubles, drag sings and you could tell it was a big one. I got the net out and got ready. After a little fight it came into the net. About an 8 or 9 pound drum. emoBig
Good size...wrong species.
We kept hitting grass flats and finally started catching some bass. Biggest one was 3 lbs and had some nice ones. Nothing huge, had five keepers out of the ones boated with those going somewhere in the 12 lb range. We caught them on spooks, t-worms and blades. Shark was good company and we had a very nice morning dispite the weather. We left at 11:00. emoThumbsup Jmax
