Was not sure just when I would have to come in with the shorter days so I rushed home at 4 this afternoon, grabbed the boat and hauled to wolftever. Got on the water and to the first spot at 4:30. Saw some bust there but could not get them to hit a thing. emoAngry Waves were bad there and hard to see the boils. Got frustrated and moved to calmer water. Still had a good chop on the water there and started chunking a small shad crank. Busted a couple pretty quick, one was 14 inches and one was 3 pounds. emoSmile Moved around a little and saw some more come up. Hit a couple more with one a good 2.5 lbs and another slick. Finally right at sun down I had some good busting going on and shifted to the spook. Caught seven more on the spook with one more keeper and the rest nice slicks. Fun to have the hits. emoTongue Lost one other keeper by the boat. In all I caught eleven in an hour and a half. I left at 6 cause it was getting dark. emoRolleyes The bass were working grass edges in four to eight feet where shad were working. Water temp was 62 degrees where I was catching them. Dang...I hate these shorter days but it was still fun. emoBig
