shore fishing utah county area

Hey I am trying to get as much fishing in this summer as I can and am trying to catch different types of fish, but I don't have a boat. Where are the best places around here to fish from the shore. I don't mind driving a couple of hours if the fishing is good enough. Also any tips on how to catch the different types of fish would be appreciated.

I was up at Payson Lake a few weeks ago and the trout action is good.We were using rainbow powerbait. But if you are a fly fisherman the were hiting the surface as the sun went down.I also fished Utah lake from the shore by the marina and caught some real ugly big mud cats on worms.
