Brought along a friend of mine hopeing to catch a few smallies, as usual there was not a lack of current. The first thing in the morning the fishing was slow for us catching a few smaller bass. Went on the turbine side of the river and Kenneth caught several good chunckie bass on a mini-me spinner bait with a Allatoona special skirt. we then started down the southern bank and Kenneth just about got the rod yanked out of his hand by this 23 lb. striper. emoBig
which was by far the big fish for the trip. Worked our way down the river moving to the north bank still catching a few spots and I hooked a good smallie and got him to the boat just to have himm pull off right at the boat on a crank bait. Ended up back up river catching a few good LM on both a jig and a shakey head. emoToast <br /><br />I am hoping to spend more time trying to figure the smallies out, need to get with JDK emoAngler .<br /><br />All in all we had a good trip.
