Well after fishing Parksville about a year ago, Greg got in touch with me to try his hand at "The System" we use to target crappie.

A beautiful day started at about 7:39 out of WT.
We immediately caught fish on deep structure, but I realized we needed a more controlled environment, so off we went to training dock 1.
We caught some right away and Greg got his first ones on and life was good! emoToast
Then we really ramped up the learning curve as he started to recognize the bite by sight and not by feel. That was a big step and a necessary one in learning to fish this way. The rest of the day was interesting and I gave him some training holes and he gained more valuable experience.
Greg is a fast learner as a very experienced fisherman would be. He was shooting well out of the gun and he was learning to set the hook with a little less voracity as I reminded him that one of the nicknames for crappie is "papermouth"

All in all not a bad first day as we ended up with a limit of 11 inch + crappie with a fat spot and a yellow belly which went home to Cleveland for emoHungry

Thank you Greg, for getting me out, I had a great time with great fellowship with a fine fellow angler!
I hope we can do it again soon!! emoThanks

Oh I forgot about the blacknose, but I got the pic!! emoApplause
