We have been going to the river for the past 4 weeks trying to get a head start on sauger. We are still early for the sauger but we have been catching alot of spots. Today same results one small sauger, over 30 spots, 4 nice crappie and this small mouth. It weighed 4lb 6 oz.You can tell by the he was happy. River temps need to come on down I think for the sauger, but we will keep looking.
