Jerry came by the house about 8:30 this morning and we headed to CFP to launch. Stopped at a fairly shallow dock and caught a couple of small crappie, moved to a bluff and got into some decent fish with the largest being 13 3/4" and real chunky. The fish seemed to be suspended on some underwater brush and would take the jig very lightly. You really have to be paying attention this time of year to feel, see, sense the bite. When that slowed we tried another dock picking up a couple of keepers. We then ran up river to some vertical structure and got into some good fish. Not fast and furious but fairly steady. These fish were mostly deep. We fished PA's and BG shad in my new favorite color "bluegrass".

Sadly this is the last trip for Jerry in my boat, he promised me a baked crappie recipe over a month ago. I still don't have it. So no fishing for you partner. emoEnforce . He even had the nerve to tell me again how good it was at dinner last night.

We ended up on some open water structure that I don' have exactly figured out yet. Picked up 4 crappie there and called it a day. Weather was freaky, started out very moderate and then got colder as the day went on. Windy too.

We had a good time, caught 27 keepers and talked a lot when we should have been paying attention to our fishing, lol. All fish back in the lake for your fishing pleasure.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

Regards, Labman
