We fished out of Riverpark from 9-3. It's interesting, the solunar tables said that there would be a major feeding period between 7 and 9 am and a minor feeding period between 1 and 2 pm. Well, we couldn't get motivated enough to get out there at dawn, so from 9 til 1 we had very little action. The flow at first was 68K cfs and the water temp was 55. Between 1 and 2:30 we caught a couple of really pretty smallies, one was 20.5 in., 4.4 lbs. and the other was 20 in., 4 lbs. Right after that the flow decreased to 50K cfs and when we took out it was down to 26K cfs, they had shut the gates.

We ended up with 7 or 8 smallies (half of them really small) and 4 or 5 small spots. I caught my good one on a jig/pig and Pete got his on a spinner bait. All fish were caught on rip-rap on the green buoy side of the river. All fish were released. A couple of bald eagles were watching us.

wbwilly came by to say hello to us and we had a nice chat. He also sent me a nice PM, thanks, Bill, and nice to meet you.
