I am new to this forum and to ice fishing.

welcometo the forum! you will need your fishing liscence, an ice auger, warm clothes, some bait or lure, and a fishing pole. hope that helps lol

Just go to any local store that sells ice fishing gear ( sportsmans or cal ranch ). Get a few jigs a cheap ice pole, and some bait. If you are willing to ask most people will come drill a couple of holes for you, save you some money on an auger until you decide you want to invest in your own. Then check this site for the best reports and ice conditions.
