9/21/01 Most all the best Walleye action is still on the bars. Water temp today was 63.7 degrees and it looks like the weather will hold in the 60 degrees for a few days.
Center bar, west end of Sugar bar, the Big bend & little Muski are the hot bars. Fish in 17'’to 20'’with a Roach rig out to 60" and tip it with a crawler or a leech. If you get a pick up and if the Walleye strips you shorten up the rig to 30”.
Perch action is hot just north of the bird houses by the banks in 7’ to 8’ of water. Mallard point in 8’ of water. You will also pick up some nice 14” to 16” Walleye in the same areas. Use a 1/8oz chart/lime fireball tipped with a fathead minnow.
Northern action is still going crazy. Find just about any weed line in the 8’ range. Silver or fire tiger colors are working the best on the spoons.
Bowens bay in Cut Foot in 8' to 9' with a rig tipped with a crawler or use a jig and fathead minnow. Elpout bar in 18' of water use a rig with a leech or a crawler. Work this bar slow.captron

captron
