Any reports on ice or fishing from Gem Lake?

I fished it before the river rotted out underneath us. It sucks that Beck won't let us access the pond without walking down the river. The ice on the pond was 10" before the thaw so it should still be good. No perch bite but we did get a few planter trout. I was thinking about maybe checking it in the morning.

We fished at the dam this morning for about an hour and a half, picked up a brown and a bow and had a few other bites. Ice is about 12" thick. Still searching for that honey hole out there.

Thanks for the report. I would be looking for perch, but have not heard any body doing any good yet.
