Anyone have any saltwater Fishing New year’s Resolutions?
Anything new you plan on fishing for or a record catch you plan on breaking?

My plan is to break away more often from sweet water and get out as much as I can in the salt. Hopefully the fish will come in stronger this year.

[fishin] Going hunting for that first Black Marlin, probably off Panama. Need a Black and a Striped to round out my Marlin card.

I really want to hit the inshore scene pretty hard this year, and not work the offshore stuff so hard. With the recent trend of bans, inshore is going to be the new hotness for me.
I want to focus on the inshore species like Cobia, Spadefish, Drum, and maybe some king Mack action. Not limited to that list, but those are my prime suspects.
I just hope the weather will work with us this year. 2009 was a tough year for weather. We didn't make it out nearly as many times as we could have if the forecasts wouldn't have got blown so many times. It would be calling for 2-3' seas at 8 seconds and a 10 kt or less West wind, and I get to the edge of the jetties to find 2-4', 5 seconds or less apart, and gale force winds. Never failed. Maybe this will be a better season for weather.
