if you want to catch MONSTER RAINBOW TROUT... You all need to make trip up to Cumberland River/Obey River in Tennessee.... 10lb Rainbow Trout are caught out of there every year. One of the most underated areas not known for big trout...

mad man. You seem to know a bit about this area. I live in North Georgia and am searching for a new trout area to fish from a kayak! They are preparing for a drawdown for some Dam work (literal and figurative) on the river I fish. I am looking at areas on the cumberland river to fish as well as the Obey. I do a small amount of fly fishing but for the most part use spinners, crawfish lures and bait for trout. Can you give me some pointers about this area? not asking for your spots, just some good put in locations etc. Do they pulse the generators or open the flood gates? If its anything like the river I fish, the scheduels are not always right!!!! thanks
