After work today it was so nice I just could not help myself. I went down to the wolf and broke ice launching my boat. emoAngry Started practicing my casting for crappie around the bridges and did well casting. Good aim and nice distance. I also saw a bald eagle, he was not catching anything either. After feeling good about my ability to cast my crappie rod I then eased out into the bay and practiced casting some of my bass equipment. I moved a couple more times and practiced even harder. emoMad I practiced with a shakey head, a silver buddy, a big spinner bait and a drop shot. I felt pretty good about how well I worked each and every pattern. I practised on drops, ledges, bluffs and along some long flats just in the deeper water. I practised from 10 feet to 33 feet. From a temp of 34 degrees water in the wolf to 39 degrees out in the river itself. I feel that my practising will help once the fish come alive again, thaw out and start to hit baits once more. I guess I am now ready to start fishing and stop practising. emoBig
